Cedar Park backyard with a pergola-mounted Big Tex misting fan cooling the patio and open lawn
Residential Backyard
Cedar Park, TX

Cedar Park backyard turned into the envy of the neighborhood

This family wanted their whole backyard usable in summer — not just the shaded deck. We paired a pergola-mounted 24" misting fan with an 18" fan and a run of additional nozzles, cooling roughly 300 sq ft of patio plus the open lawn where the kids play. The result: a space comfortable enough to host a birthday party in near-100° heat.

Big Tex misting fans cooling the covered upper deck at Solstice in Jonestown, overlooking the oak tree line
Restaurant & Bar Patio
Jonestown, TX

A Jonestown coffee-and-cocktail spot that stays full all summer

Solstice is an all-day, dog- and kid-friendly gathering spot with a big, multi-level patio tucked under the oaks near Lake Travis. To keep guests lingering through the Texas heat, we installed six Big Tex misting fans across the covered decks — cooling well over 1,500 sq ft of seating with a fine, dry mist and no fixed lines to run.

What we install

Equipment we install

We're an authorized Hydromist dealer working from a full catalog of commercial-grade fans, pumps, lines, and portable units. Below is a sample of the sizing options — every install is custom-quoted to your space.

Every install is custom-quoted. Component sizing depends on your space, number of seats, water source, and how you plan to use the system — that's what your free estimate is for.

Built Different

The difference between a real install and a hardware-store kit

You've probably seen the $99 misting kits at the big box store. They run on your garden hose pressure (about 60 PSI), spray big droplets, and basically turn your patio into a wet mess.

Our systems run at 1000 PSI through engineered stainless-steel nozzles. The result is an ultra-fine, dry mist — droplets so small they flash-evaporate in the air, cooling everything around them without leaving water on you, your furniture, or your guests' food.

It's the same technology you'll find at major-league stadiums, theme parks, and high-end resort patios — built to commercial standards from the ground up.

Stainless nozzles, sealed pumps, professional-grade fittings throughout.

Engineered for Texas

Sized for our heat, our humidity, and our hard, mineral-heavy water.

Frequently Asked

Honest answers about misting systems

Will I get wet from a Big Tex misting system?

No. Our systems use commercial-grade 1000 PSI pumps and stainless-steel nozzles to produce a true ultra-fine mist. The water droplets are so small they flash-evaporate before they touch you, your furniture, or your drink — what you feel is cool air, not moisture.

How much cooler will my patio feel?

In typical Central Texas summer conditions you'll feel a noticeable temperature drop in the misted area. Performance is best when the air is hot and dry, which is exactly when you need it most.

What makes a real misting system different from a hardware-store kit?

Hardware-store kits are low-pressure and produce large droplets that get everything wet without cooling much. The commercial-grade systems we install run at 1000 PSI with stainless nozzles, sealed pumps, and engineered line layouts — the same equipment used at major-league ballparks, theme parks, and resorts.

Do you serve my city?

We serve Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Leander, Georgetown, Pflugerville, Lakeway, Bee Cave, Dripping Springs, Buda, and surrounding Central Texas communities. If you're nearby and don't see your city, give us a call.
